"Edgefield Death Notices and Cemetery Records" by Carlee T. McClendon: (643) Departed this life on Tuesday, June 18, 1850 at the residence of her father, Captain Daniel Bird, near Monticello, Florida, Miss Sarah Oliver Bird, in the 20th year of her age. On the night of January 5th last, she received a burn, by her clothes taking fire. She was born in Edgefield, S.C. on April 19, 1831. She joined the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1846. She converted to God in November, 1847, while she was a student at Wesleyan Female College, at Macon, Georgia. Monticello, Florida, June 24, 1850.
