Jackson is living next door to his mother in 1880 in Bulloch County, GA. He was married to Annie before 1880 in Bulloch Co, GA ?. Annie was born in 1838 in GA. 65. Daniel BIRD was born in 1851 in Bulloch Co, GA. He was married to Susan JOHNSON on Dec 12 1871 in Tattnall Co, GA. 66. Margery BIRD was born in 1852 in Bulloch Co, GA. She was buried in Upper Lotts Creek Cemetery. Margery is buried in an unmarked grave. She was married to Jim ROGERS. 67. William B. BIRD was born on Oct 15 1853 in Bulloch County, GA. He died on Jan 3 1922 in Candler County, GA. William is buried in the Primitive Grove Cemetery in Candler Co., Ga. He is buried with his second wife, George Ann Bishop Bird. Their headstone reads, "There will be no parting there." He was a Farmer. After his children from his first wife were old enough to take possession of the farm, William sold it to them and moved off the old homestead. He later purchased 78.3 acres in 1915. (See Candler County, GA, Deed Book 1, page 179.) William was known by the name "Bill Cordy." No one remembers where the name came from. Older family members believe William's middle initial may have stood for "Beecher." William is listed in the 1920 Candler County, GA Census (Evergreen District), ED 44, sheet 4A. He owned his own farm, but it was mortgaged. He was a general farmer, working for himself. He was married to Mary Jane ROGERS (daughter of Joseph Tillman ROGERS and Sarah HOLLAND) on Dec 9 1877 in Tattnall County, GA. Mary Jane ROGERS was born about 1859 in Tattnall County, GA. She died about Mar 1883 in Tattnall County, GA. Mary Jane's dress caught fire while she was quilting by the fire. She was holding her youngest child in her lap while she was quilting. When her dress caught fire, she jumped up and began to run. They family could not stop her and she burned to death. She was buried in Tattnall County, GA. Mary Jane was buried in the Bird Cemetery. This cemetery was destroyed by Jake Daughtry. Today a field stands where the cemetery once was. There are no head stones left standing. She was a Housewife. William and Mary Jane Bird lived on 150 acres of land on the Wolf Creek in Tattnall County, Georgia. Mary Jane purchased the land on February 14, 1879, from J. R. Collins for the sum of $150.00. William B. BIRD and Mary Jane ROGERS had the following children: i. Lula BIRD. ii. Lonnie BIRD. - I have lots of info on Lonnie's family if anyone wants it! :-) iii. Sallie BIRD. He was married to George Ann BISHOP (daughter of George BISHOP and Elizabeth HENDRICKS) on Jul 3 1885 in Bulloch Co., GA. George Ann BISHOP was born on Aug 18 1868 in Bulloch Co, GA. She died on Jun 7 1933 in GA. She was buried in Metter, Candler, GA in the Primitive Grove Cemetery. William B. BIRD and George Ann BISHOP had the following children: i. Debbie BIRD. ii. Bessie BIRD was born on Mar 1 1893 in Tattnall County, GA. She died on Mar 3 1896 in Tattnall County, GA. She was buried in Bird Cemetery, Candler County, GA. This cemetery has been destroyed. It was located in Jake Daughtry's field. iii. James B. BIRD was born on Oct 28 1895 in Tattnall County, GA. He died on May 18, 1910, in Tattnall County, GA. James went to Statesboro, GA, to Industrial School. He cut his foot on a plow; Blood poison set in, and he died. iv. Eva Jane BIRD. v. Willie May "Macie" BIRD. vi. Andrew Jackson BIRD. vii. Mertie BIRD. 68. Marietta "Martha" BIRD was born in 1858 in Bulloch Co, GA. She was married to Neel Hilary BLAND on Apr 29 1875 in Bulloch Co, GA.
