Hello All! Gosh...seeing all these Byrds/Birds/Burds is wonderful! I know I've bumped up against so many of these names in my own research that I figure we must be related somehow, even tho I haven't found the link. My Byrds were in the Shenandoah Valley of VA from about 1700 until my adventuresome 3G-grandfather Adam headed west. He lived in Greene Co Ohio, JoDaviess Co IL, Missouri (haven't found much here), Richland Co WI, and then to the Washington Territory in 1852. We've been West-Coasters ever since. I have to be out of town a few days, but will post more when I get back. I have copies of the 1810-40 Federal Census for Shenandoah Co VA and I can post all the Bird/Byrd/Burd entries if that would help anyone out. For now, here's my line back to Adam! Daniel Houck BYRD, b 12 May 1827 in Sugar Creek Twp, Greene Co, OH, d 9 Aug 1875, Pilot Rock, Umatilla Co, OR. Married Maria ALEXANDER b 5 Feb 1833 in Grant Co, WI, d 28 APR 1917. Lewis Irwin BYRD, b 11 Feb 1874, Pilot Rock, Umatilla Co, OR, d 26 Sep 1953. Married Luella HUFFAKER, b 29 Mar 1877 in either IL or UT, died 13 May 1948. Loretta
