James Byrd was my 3rd Great Grandfather, Jesse Blackston Byrd was my 2nd Great Grandfather, James Blackston Byrd was my Great Grandfather, & Ida Jane Byrd was my grandmother on my father's side of the family. I'm looking for old James's father. James was in Grainger County, Tennessee in 1840. Before that I don't know, but his folks probably came from VA. Any help, or tips would be appreciated.
