Hi Cinda: You have such a beautiful name; I know my grandmother must have beautiful as her name, too, despite having fifteen children! I had a really hard time finding her on any census because the few family members that I did find on the Sisson side swore her name was Lou Candy, Lou Jane and Jewel....go figure! On one census, her name was Lou Canda! Anyway, I will keep looking however long it takes. For certain, she was born Lucinda Bird/Byrd November 20, 1848 in Pickens County, Alabama. She was the daughter of James Bird/Byrd and Martha(maiden name unknown and both born in SC according to Alabama and Mississippi census for 1850, 1860, and 1870). Her siblings included Josephine, Sanorah, John, Sarah adn Mary. His mother was named Martha/Mary as well. That is all I know for fact. She died March 19, 1926 as Loucandy Bird Sisson in Navarro County, TX. I have one picture of her when she was about 55+ years old. As far as I know, she has no relationship to the Col. William Byrd of Virginia Colonies fame. If you should run across any "alien bird's" that fit this description, please let me know. Also, your niece has a very nice site and I truly enjoyed visiting it! God Bless and thank you for responding and all your help, Kathleen Sisson Boyd WA state From: CINDYRDEATON@aol.com To: ironpants55@hotmail.com Subject: (no subject) Date: Mon, 19 Nov 2001 09:38:01 EST http://members.tripod.com/~StephanieSue/...
