Hi I ,m new to the mailing list looking for any info on the following Bird family. Daniel Bird born in 1807 in Fryerning , Essex, England he married May Ann Whitaker who was born in 1807 in Messing, Essex they had at least one son Arthur Bird born in 1845 in Childerditch, Essex. In the 1881 census Daniel and May were living on a Farm in Childerditch Street, Childerditch. Arthur Bird married Elizabeth a Ladies maid and moved to 38 Nichols Street, Shoreditch, London he worked as a Bullion Porter in a bank they had 4 children 1. Arthur Bird b-1878 he married Rosina Anderson and had 5 children they were William ,Stanley, Dorothy (my Grandmother), Norman and Douglas. 2. Ernest Bird b-1880 married Ada and had 4 children Ada, Grace, Ernie and Leslie. 3. Ada Bird married Howard Reddrop and had 3 children Evelyn, Bernard and Eric. 4. May Bird.
