I have found the following Birds/Byrd in the 1870 and 1880 NM Federal Censuses; 1870 Colfax County, NM Thomas Bird age 22 male white Laborer born in Pennsylvania 1880 Grant County, NM Benjamin Bird age 26 white male Soldier of the Army born in Ohio 1880 Colfax County Thomas Bird white male age 37 miner born in Mississippi parents in TN.

I am interested in the last name Thomas Byrd b. in MS parents b. in TN. I am STILL searching for any information about my great great grandmother Sarah Ann {Sally} Bird b. 1826 TN, mar 1840 J.C. Coleman, died June 16, 1850 Flat Creek Bedford Co TN. Four children census list names as Henry b. 1841, Joshua b. 1843, Eliza b. 1846 William b. 1848. William Samuel was my great grandfather he called his brothers and sister John, Riggs, and Catherine. He was the only one to live to marry and have a family. Any place I could get a death certificate for her? Bedford Co TN lost all court house records several time. W.S. moved to TX 1873, Byrd kin visited our family for years. They talked about their cousin Richard Byrd and his travels. I can't locate his genealogy. I will appreciate any help.Also please change my address to AMom45@www.att.net.
