Widely believed that Richard Byrd (d.1818 Johnston Co., NC) married Elizabeth Sparkman on 30 July 1785. If Richard Byrd & Elizabeth Sparkeman, married 30 July 1785, are the parents of *Benjamin Byrd then he would have married at 13 years of age.
