    3. here are more of the Rev. War pension abstracts I started yesterday. I will start with Jonathan next time. Short on time today- Elsetta Bird, John,S6639 NJ Line, appl 8 Apr 1834 Luzerne Cty Pa aged 77, sol enl at Bedminster in Somers Cty NJ in 1776, sol's son John Bird states on 12 of Mar 1858 that sol had been dead 19 yrs, towit 5 Mar 1839 Bird, John, S39196,SC Troops,appl 7 Jul 1818 Union dist SC, in 1821 sol was aged 64 with wife Elizabeth aged about 60, sol's daughter Anna C Smith of Union Dist. SC, Sally wid of James Carr aged about 60 of MS, Henry C Bird aged 54 of TX, Catherine Francott aged 51 of AL, James C Bird aged 46 of Al, sol had one other son John Bird Jr. who died before sol and left 5 children who lived in the "far west" but none are named in the file in 1853 sol's grand-daughter Nancy wife of John Sharp of Union District SC states she is one of the four surviving daughters of sol's son John Bird Jr. who d in 1828 or 29 Bird, John R850, Rev War Rej books shows under Act of 1832 sol lived at Kingston in Luzerne Cty,Pa and had made appl under Act of 1818 but was Rej as proof of ser not established, no paper on file Bird, John, S10372, SC Troops, appl 8 Nov 1833 Dale Cty AL aged aged 79, lived in Camden District SC at enl, b 1754 in Duplin Cty NC & moved with step-father to SC when a boy, after the war sol lived in Edgefield Dist SC then moved to Montgomery Cty GA then to Dale Cty AL in 1839 sol was living with a daughter in Dale Cty AL (daughter not named
