    3. This is called FLAMING and is not allowed on this list. This is only the second time I have sent a message and both times it contained a lot of good BIRD data that others may be able to use whether you are interested or not. I think you responded to the wrong person and quite rudely at that. I will be surprised if you are allowed to stay on the list! Thanks to all who sent me Internet websites for Towcester research, Margaret -----Original Message----- From: PdxTeacher@aol.com [mailto:PdxTeacher@aol.com] Sent: Thursday, July 13, 2000 12:04 PM To: STROUD, MARGARET Subject: Re: [BIRD-L] William Bird, Ironmaster of PA PLEASE UNSUBSCRIBE THIS ADDRESS. I HAVE ASKED SEVERAL TIMES NOW AND AM EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED THAT I CONTINUE TO RECEIVE UNWANTED EMAIL FROM YOU! I don't have submitter's material yet, but I was told that the immigrant was a Richard Bird born about 1560 in Towcester, Northampton, England who married there an Amy Mallett (parents unknown) on 14 Apr 1584 in Towcester. They had the Dorothy Bird born 25 May 1588 in Towcester who died 2 Aug 1670 or 1676 (?) in Hartford after marrying Dr. Thomas Lord 23 Feb 1610/1611 in England (place not known). Dr. Lord (1585-1638 or 1667 in Hartford, Ct) was son of Richard Lord of Towcester, England who married Joan (?) but I do not have parents for either of them yet. Any research sites for Towcester would be appreciated since I'm researching Bird, Lord and Mallett there. Thanks, Margaret -----Original Message----- From: Judy Pisano [mailto:jupisano@yahoo.com] Sent: Thursday, July 13, 2000 7:38 AM To: BIRD-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [BIRD-L] William Bird, Ironmaster of PA I recently purchased the book "The Ironmaster's Kin" which had been mentioned on this list. On one of the first pages, it states that William Bird was born in England. Later there is a copy of a newspaper article stating that William was born in Raritan, NJ. Does anyone know which is correct?
