Mason Bird was born about 1786 in VA. He mustered into the War of 1812 in WV. He had (unconfirmed) siblings by the names of Christena, John, Joseph, Mary, Myra and Patrick. He married at least two times. In Harrison County, Indiana, he married Catherine Mullins in 1819. As far as I can tell, there were 8 children. I've put together the ones I know: Edward b. 1824 Catherine b. 1826 Mason G. b. 1828 Andrew J. b. 1830 Elvira b. 1834 John Federick b. 1841 William T. b. 1840 (my gggrandfather) These children married their spouses in southern IL. After Catherine's death, Mason Bird remarried in 1850 to Hannah Williamson and had about 8 more kids before he died in Pope County, IL. Any information would be appreciated. Marla Moore
