In the 1850 Hardin County, TN Census, there is a William Bird living with my 3rd great-granfather, Lewis Byrd (Bird), who is 95 years old and was from South Carolina. I also think this is the same William who is in Roane County, TN in 1840, listed as an 84 year old Revolutionary War pensioner. Could this be the same William Bird that you are refering to?
