William DEAN, is not in my direct line; but he is thought by many to be a first cousin to my wife's ancestor, Andrew BIRD, b. c.1702 prob. Raritan, NJ, died 27 Feb 1750 Smith Creek, Rockingham Co., VA. m. Magdalene JONES, dau. of Mounce and Ingeborg (LYCON) JONASSON of Tinnicum Island and Morlatten "Manatawney", Chester Co., PA. My wife is descended from Andrew BIRD's son, John BIRD, b. 1729 PA, died 1819 Bath Co., VA. He married, as his 2nd wife, Magdalene "Margaret" Winterode and had a son David BIRD who m. Elizabeth HULL.
