Francis Byrd owns property near Rocky Mount. 1755 Franklin Co. VA. Joseph Byrd owns property near Francis Byrd. 1767. List of Lands and Tithes for Hugh Innes Pittsylvania County. Joseph Bird, Thomas Shoat, Francis Bird, Thomas Bird, Richard Shoat 1767, Jul 23. Joseph Bird to Francis Bird, all of Pittsylvania Co. 250 acres, both sides of South Branch Blackwater Run in Daniel Donoho's line. Witnessed by William Hungate, Vachel Dillingham, James Renfro. Signed Joseph and Hannah Bird. (Note: The Renfro's of Pittsylvania were massacared by indians while with the Donelson Flotilla to Nashville in 1779 at a Clarksville settlement.) 1768, Aug 25.
