Sometimes my research takes me far afield, and now I'm working in Kentucky sources, trying to identify a family of Birds, to move them back into Virginia. I can place them for certain in Bourbon Co., KY, 1790s, and then Campbell Co., KY by 1800. Does the given name Clarissa ever appear in your Birds? John Bird, b. ca 1777 in VA, named a daughter Clarissa, and there is an older Clarissa Bird (md. John Hulen, Huland, in Bourbon Co. 1793) so I think there is probably a connection to her.
