Hi, I guess perhaps I started a chain reaction to the Byrd-Blakemore Family research. While I do not believe Mary Byrd was the daughter of Francis Byrd and Hannah Blakemore. which I believe that others have also come to believe. I would like to know what proof we have to believe that Francis Byrd the father of Mary Byrd had another child names Francis Byrd who would have been Francis Jr. Since a Francis Byrd died in 1796 in Davidson County, TN, I am quite sure this is not the husband of Hannah Blakemore. I ordered yesterday the Microfilm from the Family History Library of the Deed Index for Hawkins County. If I find anything in this film that will help us sort out the Bryd Family I will let you know. I have my Blakemore Byrd Ancestors listed on my web page in a easy to use Pedigree Chart display. So if you are interested to see the results of my years of research take a look.
