Hello, I have not written to the list in a while, I am at a brick wall and I am in need of help! I am looking for any information that I can find on my gggg-grandparents: JAMES M. BIRD or BYRD, he was born in North Carolina in about 1778, which county is unknown? In his will he listed his wife as CLOYE. No other information is known about her. We cannot prove that he may not have been married before. His children were: REDMAN b: 1806 in NC HILYARD b: 1809 or 1813 in NC NANCY b: 1814 in NC THOMAS b: 1820 in TN MARY ANN b: 1824 in TN The family is listed in the census records that I have with their last names spelled BIRD, but I have also found them as BYRD! We have been able to locate them in the 1840-1880 Grainger County Tennessee Census Records. And I have a TON of information from 1840 to present on the family. I just cannot seem to be able to get broke over into North Carolina. Any help would be greatly appreciated so that maybe the headache that I have from beating my head against this brick wall will go away! Thanks in Advance!
