    1. Byrd/Bird
    2. Elizabeth Black
    3. My Byrd/Bird ancestors settled in the Wyoming Valley of Pennsylvania, near Wilkes-Barre. They came from England via the Netherlands. The children presumably born in the US and dates of birth are Andrew, 11 August 1741; Elizabeth, 6 april 1743; Thomas, Feb 1744; Caty, 10 May 1747; Marget, 7 August 1749; Richard, 9 July 1755; John, 21 March 1757, and Hannah, 6 Dec 1759. All these spelled their names Byrd. The family bible then has two Jones children, John, 29 March 1763, and James, 23 July, 1765, so one of the girls must have married a Jones. The next group of children, Mary, 1800, Jane, 180?, Abraham, and an undecipherable twin, possibly Obediah, born 15 Oct 1806, used Bird. These names come from the family bible, as well. My mother's genealogical list has been lost or mislaid, so I am trying to reconstruct as much as possible. My grandmother, Frances, born 1863, was the granddaughter of John and Rebecca-------Bird, whose children included the infamous James, Derek, and Sally Bird Harding, who had a child named James Bird Harding. My grandmother was one of 10 or 11 children including Thomas Quick Bird, Elizabeth Bird Allen, Sally Bird Armstrong, and Joseph. Any help will be most welcome. Liz King Black

    3. Looking for information on Joshua William BIRD and Mary Ann THOMAZIN. He was born on August 11, 1793 in Surfleet. They were married on December 24, 1814 in Spalding. They had 12 or 13 children that are known. Some stayed in England, while others emigrated to the Oakland County, MI area around the late 1840' or early 1850's. Any ideas or information would be greatly appreciated! Doug Bird Saginaw, MI
