I have tried to unsub from the Bird list and was told that I could not be removed because I was not on it. Go figure? I've been getting messages for days...........This is an example of the messages I'm NOT getting because I'm NOT on the list. Think about it. Thanks for your time. Hello everyone, If anyone is having trouble reading their digests, especially those on AOL. I just read on the listowner list a message that you can read the digests with a word processor, rather than reading them as you normally do. Hope this helps. In a message dated 97-08-05 08:34:30 EDT, you write: Hello everyone, I do not know how this happened. I sent the message to his private e-mail address. I see another message did the same thing. I cleared out the list address and put in their address. I do not send attachments to the list as I know what kind of problems these can cause. For some reason mail is being returned to the list instead of the person sending the message. Karen said it is set to go to the individual, not the list. But that is not the case, not just with my lists but other lists too. Since this went to the list, any one can download the file. But if it will cause you any problems please do not download. Help! My mailbox is filling up with all of the request for Bird Archives. Is there a way that we could do this to a private email address?

For some of us on the far side of the planet, this is a real denial of service attack. Please send these requests to either the list-owner, or send the proper archive request commands to the listserv. Of course, if the archive commands aren't working, you're out of luck... Thanks! --Wulf

RE: John J. Baird (aka Bird?) LaRue County, KY 1850 Fellow rooters, McLin (Macklin) BIRD is thought to have attended the Levelwoods Methodist Church in LaRue County, KY in abt 1850. It has been reported that John J. BAIRD (also possibly BIRD) founded this church and that he had a son with the same name (John J. BAIRD) who was alive in 1850 and living next door to McLin BIRD. Would any of you happen to know anything about this BAIRD/BIRD family? Or would you perhaps know anything about obtaining records from an old Methodist church? Thanks Karen Bird [email protected]
Please send me the Archived Maiser files for BIRD Thank you, Bettie
Please send me the archives, as well. Sharon
