    3. Hello, I recently picked up some miscellaneous information on some Birds that I thought I would pass on. There will be more. I hope this can help someone. Colony of South Carolina Records of 1716 to 1783. Bird, Daniel Date 1779 Colony, SC. Resident Old 96th District Bird, Samuel Date 1779 Colony, SC Resident Old 96th District I realize this is not much help, but if any one is searching these names it might give them a hint of where to look. 1. BIRD, Abner, 1770, VA
    2. Barb & Don Williams
    3. I have traced my Bird family back to Abner, b. 22 Sept. 1770 in Green Briar Co., VA. His wife was Jane Jamison and the married 7 March 1791 in Franklin Co., IN. Abner died in 1797 in Franklin Co. Jane was b. 9 May 1770 in Albemarle Co., VA and died abt. 1814 in Madison Co., KY. The kids that I know of included: John, b., 11 Jan. 1790 in Amherst Co., married Permelia Guthrie and he died abt. 3 Aug. 1845 in Madison Co.,KY. Jane; William; and Thomas Jefferson, b. 1794. This is about all I know of this family back to this time period. I am concerned that two Abner's in a row supposedly married Jane Jamison/Jameson's. I think someone has gotten the two generations confused. Anyway, I would like to make contact with anyone working on this same general family area and will exchange info that I have. Don Williams, 17446 SW Granada Dr., Beaverton, OR 97007. FAX: 503-649-5182.

    3. Do you know this Byrd family? Nathan Byrd born 1780 Anson County North Carolina and lived near Brown Creek married Milly Emmeline Unknown before 1810 in North Caroline and moved to Tennessee before 1812 . Nathan and Milly Emmeline had 6 sons and 6 daughters. They lived in Washington, Humphreys and Perry County before moving to Johnson County Arkansas by 1840. Nathan died 18 January 1852 in Johnson County. This Byrd family was closely associated with families named White, May, and Pace. I have quite a bit of information on the descendants of this family. I descend through their oldest son, William Nathan. Jolene [email protected]

    3. Hello Everyone! I am researching a William Alby Bird, born in Moscow, Pennsylvania. He married Melissa Mitchell, and they had a daughter, Theodora Bird, born 4/16/1896 in Moscow, Pennsylvania. My mother-in-law says that William Alby Bird, died abt 1925 in Moscow, PA. According to her, he is descended from a Thomas Bird (she believes that is his name) who was one of the first settlers in Scranton, PA. I have not been able as yet to find any records listing a Bird as one of the original settlers. _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. I'ld love to hear from you. Thanks. Carma, Are ya kid'n? Chief Factor Bird is one of them most researched men in history! There is plenty known about James Curtis Bird, it is his progeny that present the mysteries. <GGGG> Don't pay any attention to me. Fact is I know little about him, but do believe he is an ancestor. Trying to prove it is another matter. And there are some pretty good charts on the family. The Provincial Archives in Winnipeg have a good deal about Mr. Bird, his family, and the HBC in general. There is plenty known and there are plenty of holes. I'm sure there are others that follow this group that can provide some good leads for you. Where are you and what are you up to? -- Regards, Jim McDonnell Seattle, Washington "Work is for people who don't know how to fish"
