If you have any information on the Bird/Byrd families that were in Lenoir County, North Carolina in the 19th century, please e-mail me. I can exchange information with you.
What's the chance you have some dates, locations....something that helps point us in the general area and time frame? I also have "missing" Byrd/Bird persons.....children of Mary Hudson Bird/Byrd and William "Billie" Bird/Byrd....Billy Bird is listed in the 1850 census of Noxubee Co., Ms with his children by his deceased wife, Mary, dau. of Frederick Hudson: Frederick Hudson Bird, William Bird, John Bird, Mary Bird, and Elizabeth Bird....Frederick H. Bird married 1851, Lousiana Elliot...William Bird also married 1851, Martha Means (who was also listed as age 14 in the 1850 census in the same household). The marriages took place in Noxubee County, Ms. The father of the children was in court in 1848 for guardianship of his children, but had already remarried by 1847, so I would make the assumption that Mary Hudson Bird died about 1846/1847.....William Byrd married Mary Hudson in Greene County, Georgia, 6 June 1826. Her father's family moved to Noxubee sometime in the mid to late 1830s, and the name of a William Bird is shown as being on the road commission for the road Macon to Delkab.....at this point, I have not found anyone searching for this family..... I'm on my ever-lovin search for any information at all on this family. William Cam BYRD was my g-g grandfather. His father I have listed as Alex Byrd who married Betty Buttery. I have had absolutely no luck at all in finding these two people--nor have several other people who have been searching. Was hoping someone out there might have a clue as to where else I can search. Could Alex be a nickname for something other than Alexander??/ Thanks! Hello everyone, Hate to bother you again, but I got so much help the last time I requested help. All my web sites are up and working. I had people using Netscape Navigator 2 and 3 say everything is was working music and all graphics. The other day a friend of mine using version 4, said that most of the graphics will not show up and the pages looked really bad. Said that I need to find way to set it for both browsers. I know I have been on sites that said something like, please wait a minute while the site detects your browser. Can any one tell me how to do this? I would hate it if only those using older versions of Netscape and E.I. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
