Zenas BIRD is my direct descendant and I am having trouble proving his parentage, place of birth, date of birth and any siblings. Per family history, Zenas was supposedly b. 19 May 1777 in Farmington, Hartford, CT to Samuel BIRD III, and Rhoda HAWLEY. Samuel is said to be the son of Samuel who was the son of Samuel. Other sources say Zenas BIRD was born in Canada to ? BIRD who were there temporarily as Tories. Zenas d. 3 Dec 1833 in Watertown, Jefferson, NY. Any help on identifying Zenas BIRD further would be greatly appreciated.

Good morning everyone, I just received a message about this. As a member of CAUCE I thought it important to let you know, as action to stop this bill is needed now. Go to web site: http://www.wasatch.com/~dsam/antispam/cause.htm There you can read the whole story. Apparently this bill rocketed through Congress. This amendment threatens to legalize and legitimize the sending of junk mail. When you go there and read the article, at the end of the first paragraph, click on the URL and read about the Smith Bill which would amend the "anti- junk fax" to include email. They are asking everyone they can reach to call their representatives in Washington, C. D. For many this would be expensive. However, I think e- mailing them would help very much. They are listed by states. Maybe if they got enough mail they would think better about putting this through, as least as it is. Received great news yesterday in the form of a page written by my great grandmother Augusta Sackett PARKER, about 1922. On it she gave info on her parents and their parents. I am looking for information on Burd. My grandmother was Anna Burd whose father was Frederick Burd. Her mother's maiden name was Ida Snyder. I am not sure where Anna lived, but it was probably in eastern or central Pennsylvania or New Jersey. She married John Hagan in 1912 in North Catasauqua, PA. Other dates: b Dec 26, 1892, d. I ordered an 1850 Census for Henry Cty, Iowa and was at the library today checking it out. I found these names: Sylvanius W. Bird, age 9. Living with William and Elizabeth Carr. Harman Bird, age 12, living with Orlando and Catherine Moffett. Wellington Bird, age 33 Wife-Sarah, age 31 Miranda, age 6 Herman?, age 4 (this was a male child) Mary A., age 7 months Unfortunately, I did not find what I was looking for! Another brick wall....
