Anyone have this fellow in your database? I have him in the Holland Dist. of Hancock Co., TN in the 1860 census. He was 27 years old, with Elizabeth as spouse and children: Landon-4 and James -1. I think Elizabeth, Landon and James are mine, but the Enoch name is not familiar. Would love to know more about him. Thanks! pat

Greetings, Beulah Bird (1807-1896) was married first to Peter Cole in c1825 and then to William S Frost (1815-1885) in c1845. Beulah and William are my GGG grandparents. Beulah is the daughter of Andrew Bird (bc1785) and his wife Nancy Hambler. I believe they lived in or near Bernards TWP, Somerset Co., NJ. I suspect that this Andrew is a descendent of Andrew Bird (b1716) and his wife Margaret Wortman, possibly a grandchild or great grandchild. I'm looking for information about this Andrew and Margaret's sons. They are Andrew 1741, Thomas 1745, and Richard 1755. Any information about these folks or other Birds from the Bernards TWP area in the 18th or early 19th century would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rick Novak
Looking for information about Henry Lamance (Manse) Byrd. He was supposedly born in Kentucky around 1859 and died in Webster County Missouri in 1936. He was married to Sarilda Emmeline Kanel by WA Byrd, MG, in 1895 and was living in Douglas County Missouri at the time of his marriage. Manse and Emmeline are buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Fordland, Missouri. Does anyone know about Manse parents and siblings? Does anyone know who WA Byrd is? Thanks! Susan Obeyeron@unicom.net

I've been receiving a lot of bounced mail from the lists in the pass few days. Please if your going away for a while Please unsubscribe from the list, what happens is your mail boxes get full and then I get a message telling me such. I've just found my Campbell Byrd on the 1870 Lee Co., VA Census in the Rose Hill District. He was 4 years old, and apparantly his dad had died and his mother remarried within that year to a James Williams. Also in the home were Powell and Alford Williams (twins), Landon Byrd, John Byrd and my Campbell. Does anyone out there have any of these names in their databases??? Would love to talk to you. I am looking for info on Sarah Byrd(Sally Bird) she married Moses Alexander in Hendricks Co Ind. in 1849. I believe her father may have been Larkin Bird. He lived in Hendricks Co with his family. His wife's name was Nancy. Larkin died in the 1840's there. in the 1850 cen his wife appears as head of the house, her age was 43. her children at home were: John-15,Joshua-13,Hiram-11. other Bird listed as head of the house was William age 26. I know Larkin was living in Estill Co kentucky in the 1830 cen. Sarah and Moses Alexander lived in Putnam Co, Mo by 1860 and I know ther was a Richard Byrd living next door for awhile, he was only a few years from Sarah in age, so may have been a sibling. Does anyone know any thing about Larkin's line? I believe most of the family ended up in Iowa and Mo ded up in Iowa and Mo
Hi: I am looking for information about the family of John Dennis (June 1853) and his wife Rachel (?) born May 1858, both in PA. Their children according to the 1900 Census Soundex were: George April 1879 Susie April 1882 Alice December 1885 Ora September 1887 John May 1892 Bertha January 1895 Rachel April 1897 I believe that Rachel married Leonard Bird and raised her family in Scranton. My confusion arises from Rachel's obit which names her mother as Elizabeth Shear. It might be that the mother, Rachel's, middle or first name is Elizabeth? I would also like to know where people in Avoca buried their friends and relateives in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Thanks , and information would be great and anyone who is working on this family would be great to connect to. Paul

I had some questions from people having trouble finding the book I mentioned yesterday. I asked Tom and this is his reply. -------- Original Message -------- From: Thomas Nelson Moe <tmoe@capital.edu> Subject: The book To: sragplum@sirius.com CC: bobswan@hotmail.com Dear Sandra, I looked up the book on amazon.com by typing in the first three words of the title. It popped up right away as follows: Pedigrees of Some of the Emperor Charlemagne's Descendants (#4835) -- Marcellus Donald Alexander R. Von Redlich; Hardcover Have a good one, Tom
My cousin, Tom Moe, found this on Amazon.com and it has all the lines for the Clark/Dyer/Hutchinson portion as well as lots more. I included some of his responses. "They said it will be four-six weeks. [on 6/3] Apparently the book is only one volume and is labeled "volume one." I wonder if there is a volume two? It was $25 plus shipping (about $3)." "I got my Charlemagne book yesterday [6/14] and stayed up until midnight reading it. It's fantastic. Cary Clark and Ann Dyer and ancestors were there in all their glory. It was worth the $25 by far... The ancestor tree goes back through the Dyers, Hutchinsons, etc. through Edward I and on to Charlemagne. What a thrill to see all the names together in one authoritative book. The tree is quite extensive showing all the side branches/distant cousins. Among them are the explorer Byrd, Winston Churchill, and others." Fellow Bird Researchers: While looking for my BENTLEY/SAUNDERS/HYDE/UNDERHILL/RISLEs in late 1600 York Co VA website (new names! quite exciting), I ran across this website with information on ancestors, cousins of the Wm Byrds of Westover. I apologize if this has listed recently. It is part of Carol Middleton's Genealogy site (York Co VA is her site) and I believe hers connection is a Bird/Lanier marriage. By the way, the York County VA website has an number of VERY interesting links I hadn't come across before. http://home.att.net/~c.middleton/Birdline1.html#anchor206127 I have not followed all the links or studied the information here, but thought I'd let you folks know before I forgot!
