I'm searching for ancestors or descendents of my gggrandfather, W. T. Bird. He married S. J. Walton about 1870. One of their children was my ggrandfather, Walter W. Bird, b. in 1874 and died about 1907 near Golconda. I don't know names of siblings. Walter, a farmer, married Omega Kirkpatrick in 1898 and they resided in Rose Bud. Does anyone out there know this family?

I have just started on my gr gr grandmother Sarah ( Sallie) Byrd that married a Jack? Coleman and had 3 sons and 1 daughter. She was born in VA. Died in Flat Creek Bedford CO, TN 1850, this is 2 years after my gr grandfather was born. I am kin to:BOONE/?,HOWARD/STEPHENS, FLOYD/NORMAN, WATSON/WHITMORE. Since I don't know Jack Coleman's history or Sallie Bird's family history I was surprised to see the names Watson and Byrd and that they were cousins. This is in the mid 1700's in VA. Now I have a Jesse and an Obediah Coleman in Flat Creek with no history first half of the 1800's. All of these people are kin can someone tell me if the Bird/Byrd family is kin to any of these names? I want to locate the family of Sarah (Sallie) Bird w/o Jess or Jack Coleman she had a son William Samuel Coleman b. 1848 Flat Creek, Bedford Co. TN. There were 4 children John(Jack) killed in war, a son that drown young and a daughter that died of a spider bite. Sallie died around 1850. My mother remembers Bird family visiting and talk of Richard Byrd's explorations and sled dogs that were of the bloodlines he took to the South Pole.
