Does anyone have any information on a Coly Bird. Ihave one listed in the 1810 Nash Co.,N.C. census but can find nothing on him neither before or after, no deeds, wills, nothing.???
Lisa, I don't have the films, but at ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/ga/hall/census/1850/1850indx.txt I found both the Bird and the Elrod family on the same page of the 1850 census. My guess is that 7 years later, Joseph and Ora were born to families on the page - in fact to any of the families of this pages were probably not far from each other. Here are the pages with all of the Elrods and Bird in case you can get a look-up- BIRD 335B- 342B- 359A ELROD 337A-345B-349A-355A-359A Did you have any luck with the 1860 and 1870 censuses? Also, how about a county history for Hall Co.? Good luck! Karen in Michigan >From: "Lisa Hoffman" <lisa@networkonecom.com> >Subject: Joseph Bird >Hope someone can help. Searching for the names of the children of James Byrd. James b. about 1772 in Bute Co,N.C. married Lucy Lanier 1798. Would like to find the names of any of their children and birth locations if possible. James died 1829 in Obion Co.,Tenn. Any help appreciated.
1900 Census, Lincoln County, Kansas Does anyone know who Pearl B. Bird and his wife Millie might be? They live next door to Thomas M. Strange and Sarah Ann Bird Strange in the 1900 Census. In 1900 Pearl and Millie were each about 20 Years old and recently married. I can't help but think they are some how related to Sarah Ann, Perhaps the son of Sarahs brother John B. Bird. They live in Colorado Township in Lincoln County, Kansas. Does anyone know when Pearl or Millie died, or anything that might help in my search for information? Any help or direction would be appreciated. Unfortunately Pearl's Place of birth for his father and his mother is not filled in on the Census. Desparately seeking Any descendant of Fred BIRD: Fred BIRD md my Great Aunt, Mira SUTHERLAND, b abt 1882, Pictou Co., NS. They were probably married in Teheran, Persia, around 1915/6. Fred was a professor at American University in Teheran; Mira was a missionary nurse in Teheran. They had one daughter, Jean BIRD, b abt 1917, Teheran. I'm pretty sure the family returned to U.S. probably before 1918/9, possibly stopping in England for a while. Fred became a professor of Sociology(?) at Columbia University. Fred & Mira were divorced before 1937; Fred staying at Columbia; Mira moved to L.A. area, where she died in 1968. Their daughter, Jean BIRD, md Mark ABRAMS possibly in England. I heard he was associated with a newspaper in England. Mark and Jean ABRAMS had a daughter, Sarah BIRD, b about 1946. I am hoping to find Sarah, Jean or Mark. I had an address for Mark in London, wrote him abt 1970 at that address; my letter was returned to me with a handwritten message: "Moved away". Any help???? Dana from Hawaii

None of the above information pertains to my line, after 2-3 years of research ,it was determined that it was the wrong line. I also have a copy of a manuscript by Laura Kirchen , written August 10, 1924 that talks about this particuliar Bird line and those that migrated to Oregan I placed much of this information on line about 2 years ago, several folks began to argue some of the information with me. This is not my line, I'm only sharing real research information with other Birds, so if any one has problems with it please research the info, it's all in the public records. Al Byrd
I found this old newspaper clipping about Rev. Ralph Bird. There is no date on it, so I am not sure of how old it is. I was wondering if anyone has any connection to this person. It states that "The Rev. Ralph Bird, son of Joseph and the late Mrs. Anna Bird, was installed as pastor of the Edinburg church." I am not even sure of where this is. I am assuming it is somewhere in Ohio, as it mentions Newton Falls and Warren. If anyone can shed any light on this person, I would be happy to hear from them. Patty

DO NOT OPEN any email with "I LOVE YOU" in the subject line. This is NOT A HOAX If you are not taking this serious you better. Some of you know I work for a webhosting company (some don't) We got hit 3 times today with this virus, thanks to the great techs we have on staff they were able to stop it from spreading through the whole network. They are ranking this virus up there with the Melissa Virus. The best thing to do is if you see ANY message having the word LOVE in it DO NOT OPEN just delete. Also go and update your current virus program, most companies have released a new version today.
