James was an 'upholsterer.' They both gave their birthplace as 'Salford.' Residence given at time of marriage as St. Simon Street, Salford. Their children were: James, (b about 1876) Richard, (b Jan 13 1877) Thomas Henry (b about 1879) Elizabeth, (b about 1882 ) Harry, (b about 1885) Edward,(b about 1888) Eliza E.(b about 1890) The spelling of 'Shaunessey' was also shown as 'Shaunessy' and later generations used the spelling 'Shaughnessy' When Richard was born they were living at 2 Byron Place, Byrom St. Manchester.
