    3. Hi List, Having viewed the BIRCH Family Trees online before posting this, I am hoping for some verified information in regards to Caroline’s actual birth record. Caroline married in the Protestant Church, Elizabeth Street Sydney NSW in 1859 to William who was born in Devon UK as William BEWLEY but their marriage record and some children’s births have their name as BULLEY. She had 10 children but 9 of those birth records say her birthplace was Tasmania, and for the 10th one it is stated as Ireland. Descendants claimed that apparently one of her daughters said that Caroline’s accent was very broad, and it was difficult to understand her (so possible she was Irish?). Caroline died in May 1915 at Cowra NSW as confirmed by the death notice found on Trove newspapers for Mrs.Caroline Agnes BEWLEY dated 4 June 1915. I have searched Tasmania’s online records including Convict and Birth records etc. We all know that Death Certificates can be misleading for age but the Obituary notice states she was born in Tasmania in 1842 and spent 66 years in NSW. The “Sydney Morning Herald” newspaper article found on Trove dated 29 September 1854 titled “LOST CHILD” speaks of Caroline BIRCH aged 13 years usually called RYAN, missing since 26 September 1854. No follow up notice found of finding her. I know that Irish civil registrations did not commence until 1864. Can anyone produce evidence of where Caroline Agnes BIRCH (possibly RYAN) was born please? Many thanks for any assistance with my query. Michele in Sydney Australia
