Hi Greg, I never paid to get a subscription to the Ellis Island site. Maybe it was free at one time and now isn't, but it's my understanding that what I can tell you I found there is free to *every*body, still. Isn't that true? Regardless, there isn't much else new there to add to what you already know, but I'll give it to you anyway. The paid stuff is for images of the original documents and/or a picture print (or illustration, as it seems to be of Arthur Dudley's ship) of the passenger in question. I didn't opt for those, but I did print off a typed *transcript* of the Passenger Record: First Name: Arthur Dudley Last Name: Birch Ethnicity: British Last Place of Residence: Hull, England Date of Arrival: Jul 02, 1924 Age at Arrival: 56y 9 m Gender: M Marital Status: M Ship of Travel: Galileo Port of Departure: Hull, England Manifest Line Number: 0002 There were only two names on his Manifest page, his and one other man's.
