    3. I am descended through Lavina Billington whomarried Edwin J. Holly. One of Lavina's brothers was George, born 1940, who married Louisa Sarah Bishop. Father was Henry Billington born in 1809 in Palatine, New York. Henry's correct name was Heinrick. His father was John Jacobus Billington born in N. Y. in 1766 and christened in the Reformed Dutch Church of Stone Arabia, Palatine, Montgomery Co., New York. Curious mixture here. The name Billington sounds English, but first names sound German. And their church was a Reformed Dutch. My mother always told me that the Billingtons were Penn. Dutch (German). Anyone have more information on this family? Or does anyone want the information I have. I have 13 children listed for John Jacobus, and I have their names and birthdates. Let me know if you have information or would like to have what I have. 3. I am very interested in your message: with the Waterton Group, we are trying to find a Dorothy Billington nee Waterton born c1892, who seems to have married an American citizen, probably in WW1 and not in England. We know she was in Chicago in 1937... and here is the interesting bit: her mother was Lavinia* Wateron (nee Tomkins) who visited her in 1927 (from Ellis Island records), but we do not know where she was then. By 1937, she had had a son, (name unknown) who in c1947 was a Lieutenant in the US Air Force. Does this mean anything to you ? *Lavinia is an English name, although a rare one.
