From the census of 1830 and 1840 I see he was living in Lewis township, Clay county Indiana. That township is in the southwest part of Clay county close to both Vigo and Sullivan counties. Also living there were brothers William, Nicholas and Henry Crist. The Crists all married daughters of Robert and Jane Miller Biggs. Andrew Biggs, a son of Robert and Jane Miller Biggs, married Elizabeth Crist, a sister of William, Nicholas and Henry. All of these people are buried in the Friendly Grove Cemetery adjoining the Friendly Grove Baptist Church in Lewis township in Clay County. Andrew Biggs and Elizabeth Crist were married 01 Nov 1802 in Shelby county Kentucky. I belive they are listed in the Scott Co. Ky 1810 census and the 1820 Shelby Co. KY census. In 1830 Andrew Biggs was in Montgomery county Indiana along with son in law, Robert Richey. In 1840 Andrew Biggs is in Pierson township, Vigo county and Robert Richey/Ritchey is in Sullivan county. Pierson township Vigo county adjoins Lewis township Clay county. Robert Biggs, Andrew Biggs, the Crists and Robert Richey were all living fairly close together. The information that Andy found said that Robert Biggs was a son of John Biggs and that may be correct but if you have not done so, I sure would check out Andrew and Elizabeth Crist Biggs. If you have not checked Vigo county records I would suggest writting or calling the library at Terra Haute, http://www.vigo.lib.in.us/ , They have a very good genealogy department with many area records. In particular ask if they have a Biggs family genealogy file. Also you might check with the Vigo County Court House for probate records for Andrew Biggs and Elizabeth Crist Biggs. My information is that Andrew died between 1840 and 1850 and Elizabeth died 1847. Good Luck, Warren
