His parents are David & Milley Detherage Biggs. David is the son of Joel Biggs and unknown first wife of Brunswick County, Virginia. David married Milley and lived a short time in KY before moving to New Madrid, Missouri. Before 1850 he moved to Hancock County, IL where he died. Some of the family remained in Illinois but Joel moved his family to Henry County, MO and later to Adair County where he died.
