Planning a trip into Arkansas to shake the old tree. The line that I am studying is the Biggs-Norris line out of Sharp County Arkansas. My father and I are making the trip through Walnut Ridge, Evening Shade, Hardy, Poughkeepsie, Batesville, and back through Jonesboro onto Memphis. One place we are considering to visit is the County Extension office in Ash Flat. See what we can dig up in the files that they may have. I am considering calling first. Are there any other places that may hold records or misc information within this vicinity? *****major question***** When looking at the 1880 census, each family is listed along side a Dwelling number? Is there a way to cross reference the dwelling number to a physical address or location? For example, Alexander BIGGE (Biggs) is listed as living in Dwelling number 180.
