    3. Excerpt from http://www.rhema.org/press/ : "KENNETH E. HAGIN MEMORIAL SERVICE SET FOR WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 Broken Arrow, OK – September 19, 2003 – Reverend Kenneth E. Hagin, founder of Kenneth Hagin Ministries, went home to be with the Lord on September 19, 2003, at 7:00 a.m... ...Rev. Hagin was born August 20, 1917 and was in the ministry for nearly 70 years from the time God miraculously healed him of a deformed heart and an incurable blood disease at the age of 17. He was raised from a deathbed in 1934 by the revelation of faith in God’s Word. Known as the 'father of the modern faith movement,' Rev. Hagin was a dynamic preacher, teacher and prophet, known for ministering healing and for the message of faith. His teachings and books are filled with vivid stories that show God’s power and truth working in his life and the lives of others..." ========================================================================= Brother Hagin had a nationwide radio and TV ministry. His teachings were not appreciated in some religious circles, but after I had appreciated him and his preaching style for several years, it came as a pleasant surprise to learn we shared a common descent from Kedar Biggs of Martin County, North Carolina. Judging from his writings and pages 223-224 of "Biggs...History and Lineage in America", by Alta Louise (Biggs) Martin, Brother Hagin was the son of Jesse Lee Hagin and Lillie (Drake) Hagin, and the grandson of Sarah Frances "Fannie" (Biggs) Hagin of McKinney, Collin Co TX.
