The Capital Democrat 25 November 2004 Arthur D. Biggs Services for Arthur D. "Ott" Biggs, 77, of Tishomingo, were held Monday Nov. 22, at Calvary Baptist Church in Tishomingo, Rev, Kenneth McCarthick officiating. Interment followed in the Tishomingo Cemetery. The son of the late Tom and Myrtle Henson Biggs, he was born June 25, 1927, in Stigler, and died Nov. 18, 2004 in Ardmore. He was a graduate of Tishomingo High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for many years as a machinist at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City before retiring and moving to Tishomingo in 1975. He married the former Lela Chester in Tishomingo on June 19, 1956. She survives of the home. Other survivors include four sons, Larry of Channing, Texas, Stacy of Wynnewood, and Rance and Karl, both of Tishomingo; a daughter, Lisa of Tishomingo; one brother, Roy, of Shawnee; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Walker, and a sister, Jewel Walker. G.L. Ralitff, Eddie Henson, Jerry Chapman, Dean Reynolds, Harold Scates and Jack Niblett served as pallbearers. Charles Cockrell, Hank Fleming and Mike Teeples served as honorary pallbearers. Services were directed by Clark Funeral Service.
