She is listed in the Fountain County census of 1860 with sister Martha (or Marta) b.1849 and brother Harvey (b.1854). Evidently they were orphaned, as they lived in the home of Nancy Wood (listed as born 1807 in Virginia, relationship, if any, is unknown). She married Frank Lingly on Sept.11th, 1877. Both she and her husband died during the 1890s. The 1880 census lists her parents' birthplaces as Indiana, but Harvey lists his birthplaces as unknown (father) and Ohio (mother). Would like to hear from anyone who has any information on this family or is knowledgeable about researching orphans in Indiana.
