    3. Wooohhhh!! I am related! You have no idea how long I have been trying to find out in which unit he was. He is somebody from my mothers side. His name appears in a battle report from Gettysburg from 1864. Along with somebody from my fathers side. Which makes absolutly no sense, since both are from Germany and there isn't anybody that knew each other in those families until about 1940. From my Gotha (a german book about nobels) I know that he died in NJ. Since he seems to have been stationed with a unit in NY, that makes sense too. Thank you so much for solving this great mistery for me. How did you ever find this! Thank you again! I believe my great-great grandfather was a Frank Biela married to a Marya. My grandfather was Hiacinthium Biela. I believe Frank and Marya came to Texas between 1854-1880. Most of the Polish in Texas first settled in Panna Maria and emigrated from Silesia. I also have a Franciska or Francis (sp?) Biela on my mothers side and I have always been told she was distantly related to my father's family. Franciska married a Snoga in Poland if memory serves me correctly.

    3. Hi, Could you please tell me if you are a Biela, or a Von Biela? I am looking for anybody that came from the castle Zscheiplitz in Saxony, Germany. There are several people that came here and the last trace I have is in New Jersey. One was last mentioned in Gettysburg in 1864. >From: kjackson730@hotmail.com >Reply-To: BIELA-L@rootsweb.com >To: BIELA-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: [BIELA] Re: Do you know Franciszek ( or Frank) Biela >Date: 30 Jun 2003 19:28:46 -0600 > >This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > >Classification: Query > >Message Board URL: > >http://boards.ancestry.co.uk/mbexec/msg/an/iAE.2ACIB/7.2 > >Message Board Post: > >I just wanted to share some info I have....my maiden name is Biela.
