Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/GAE.2ACIB/112.1.1 Message Board Post: I really only know her name and that she was married to Phillip DeBoe. Other researcher has given me information about her Bieber family: The Bieber (Bever) family of Laurie Ann Bieber arrived in the United States on the "Ship Friendship" from Rotterdam, Holland (taking ship there from Hirschland, Germany) on Nov. 2, 1744. Christina Bever, Dorothy Bever and Jacob Bever were listed on the passenger list. Jacob and Christina were under 16 years of age, as the Pennsylvania Archives lists Jacob among the women. The father of this family evidently died on passage to America. No information has been found about Mary Magdalena Bieber. Migrated Oct 17 1732 to Philadelphis PA on pink "John and William" donna@bushnet.ab.ca (Donna Mendelsohn): You're lucky, you're from the Pennsylvania Biebers, about whom there is at least some information. Have you ever seen the book "History and Genealogy of the Bieber, Beaver, Biever, Beeber Family" by The Rev. I. M. Beaver, published in 1939. It is a major Bieber source if you have not seen a copy yet. I've never seen the book either, but have seen a lot of references to it. My understanding is that it pertains primarily to the Pennsylvania Biebers, although I'm not sure about that, I have a friend checking it out for me. Anyway, my Biebers immigrated through New Orleans to Indiana a century later, and may not be part of the same family at all. So far I haven't been able to find any information on them, except what I have from family history. LABieber@ao.l.com (Laurie Bieber) Our Bieber's arrived in the US on the "Ship Friendship" from Rotterdam, Holland (taking ship there from Hirschland, Germany) on Nov. 2, 1744. I have tried searching thru the Bieber book & don't show info on Mary Magdalena, though almost "every Bieber family" back then named their girls ??? Magdalena, or ??? Margaretha. But,if I do come across one (as we now have a famly member inputting the data from the Bieber book into FTM), I'll sure try to let u know. I will keep your em for a later time.. Sarasota, FL 1732, oct. 17. Ship pink "John and William", Captain Tymperton, from Rotterdam via Dover, from the Palatinate. Christina Bever, Dorothy Bever and Jacob Bever Rupp says Jacob and Christina were under 16 years of age. In Penna Archives Jacob is listed as among the women, showing that he was less than 16 years of age. Strassberger the same spelling The father of this family evidently died on passage to America.
