As of 1-Jan-03 Ancestry.com has expanded their reach by co-branding ALL of the Rootsweb Boards to 3rd party groups such as AOL, MSN & Lycos. What does this mean to us? The good part part is the the board coverage has been expanded x-fold to include new posters/potential leads (and maybe even a few relatives!). The down side? The bugs are not all worked out, such as The posts don't always appear, and the biggie - the board posts are coming thru the gateway to the emailed list with incomplete links back to the message board. And lastly, message posts from these 3rd parties are NOT being posted to the email version because you're not a member of the email list. So, the easy fix? Subscribe the the email list. That way, if/when you post the to message board it will also auto forward to the email version as well. To signup for the email version send a blank subscribe message to Bieber-L@rootsweb.com BTW - for those newer readers/members of this board. Ancestry/Rootsweb maintains two styles of these boards, the most popular is the email version, Which allows you to read the messages offline and/or on your own schedule. The other is here on the Message board. But you can only read/reply while online and you have to remember whats "old" and "new" postings.
