    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Bieber, Mertz, Vandine, Lunger, O'Conner, Dodson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/GAE.2ACIB/113.1.1 Message Board Post: Jan, I'm very interested to hear where you obtained Theobald Dewalt Bieber's date of death of August 31, 1769? According to the Bieber book and other sources, the fate of Theobald has seemed illusive, with them citing his disappearance on a trip to Philadelphia, and others citing him perhaps dying on the ship over or shortly after arriving in America. It would be great if you've got the answers from some documented source!

    3. Ya know, I probably got this information from another Bieber researcher when I FIRST started gathering information. I remember her sending me a very large gedcom... However, this was before I understood the total importance of recording sources... I have none. BUT, I looked at the notes for his children. I the notes for Johann Jacob Bieber, there is a source: "from History and Genealogy of the Bieber, Beaver, Biever, Beeber Family by The Rev. I. M. Beaver I. M. Publishers 222 N. Sixth Street, Reading, Pa.dated 1939;available at the D.A.R. Library,Washington,D.C." Might try there!!
