Lydia was the daughter of Benjamin and Margaret (Pickle) Bidgood, both natives of New York. They had the following children: 1. Nancy Herron b. Oct. 20, 1849 and married to SB Wilcox March 20, 1867, she died in Van Buren Co., MI July 2, 1887. 2. Benjamin Franklin Herron b. March 3, 1851, died Warren Twp, Van Buren Co., MI Sept. 28, 1866. 3. Margaret Melissa Herron b. Nov 7, 1852, married S.L. Starks, a miller by trade, and they resided in Morgan Co., Colorado. 4. James H. Herron b. Jan. 16, 1857, m1. Miss Cora Boles, who died in 1881; m2. Miss Minnie Brooks. 5. Harvey Herron b. Jan. 6, 1859, died in Michigan Sept. 1867. 6. Oren C. Herron b. May 8, 1861, partner in the livery business in Sedgwick County, Kansas. 7. Lucy R. Herron, b. Oct. 28, 1863, wife of Cornelius Smith, res. Union Twp, Sedgwick County, Kansas. 8. Leonard A. Herron b. Dec. 16, 1867, m. Minnie Cora Harvey, res. Sedgwick County, KS. 9. Chloe Herron b. July 20, 1870, d. 2 1/2 yrs old. Also born to Benjamin & Margaret (Pickle) Bidgood was Benjamin E. Bidgood, who married Miss Ann Wier, farmed in Grant County, Wisconsin and Sarah Bidgood who married Abel Burns, also of Van Buren Co., Michigan. Margaret Pickle was previously married to #1. Conrad Kelts, and they had four daughters and one son, and married #2. (unkn) Main(s), who died in Genesee County, NY and had two daughters.
