The name Bibbey comes from Leicestershire originally, so maybe they moved there over time. As Mine were in Lancashire and stoke on Trent, England. There seems to be loads of different ways to spell Bibbey, i have the original birth cert from 1880 which spells it with an "e" and continues with an "e" to this day. So I'm lucky in one way that they never changed the way they spelt it. I wish you good luck with yours, sorry I'm unable to help you, but you never know we may cross paths again with this surname and who knows there maybe a connection with ours one day :-)
