Was your uncle a Bibby before or after the adoption and when was he born. Where were his adoptive parents from & what are their names dates of birth etc. I have a surname plaque for Bibby and it says the surname originates from Pemberton which is a village next to Highfield. Where do you live, are you local? I believe my husbands grandfather Bibby came from Adlington which is not too far from Wigan but I am still struggling. Let me know if I can help in any way
