Hi Laura and all Bibby listers, I would suggest that the Joseph Bibby you are looking for is a descendant of the Joseph Bibby(1805-1893), from Wyresdale, Lancashire, who emigrated to Charleston WV in 1832. This Joseph married Margaret Swarbrick in Lancaster in 1831, and their children were: Ellen, b 1831 Edward, b 1835 James b 1837 Robert b 1840 Sarah b 1842 Joseph b 1844 John Henry b 1848 William b 1851 Isabella b 1853 Samuel b 1855 I don’t have a complete list of the grandchildren, but one that might possibly fit yours is Robert’s son, Joseph Ernest Bibby. He was probably born in the late 1860s or early 1870s. My records say he was married twice, but don’t give the names of his wives.
