The area known as Goose Green is on the edge of the town of Wigan, formerly in Lancashire. It is close to the villages of Pemberton and Winstanley, where there have been Bibbys for hundreds of years. Do you know when your ancestors emigrated to America? It may be possible to find them on British censuses before they went.
