Ionia Line #6, last residence Sarkall, sailing to Smoke Run, Pa. ( this is the Clearfield Co. area) his nearest relative was Mrs. Walker from Newarthille, Scotland. I know this is his sister. He must have been going to the home of his parents George Adams Bibby & Catherine Dryburgh Bibby. This is possibly the time that his daughter Margaret McLaughlin came to the states although I did not locate her on the ship's listing. I somehow have lost some of my files, deleted from my records on the family tree, and was not aware of it until just now as I began to check for your branch of the family. I have conflicting dates, perhaps you can let me know if they are correct. Margaret Higgens, wife of George Adams, died in Scotland, 10 Jan. 1927, age 57, making birth as 1870. But their daughter Margaret McLaughlin is listed as born 1882 ??? I have a photo of the grave marker in Scotland that list his name as George Bibbie Adams, strange?? I have Margaret F. McLaughlin, your aunt, as being born in 1910 and died in 1991, is this correct?? I have no place marked as to the source. I also have a photo of your father's grave marker, George J. McLaughlin, born July 26, 1914 died April 24, 1991. Do you live in Mass.? Perhaps a visit to the cemetery will confirm dates of the McLaughlin family's deaths. Thank you for replies.
