    2. NORMAN BUCKLEY
    3. Hi Susan, I notice that you have been 'speaking' to John whose name was previously one of my own helpful contacts . I have not recently been on any County List in England but I am very willing to assist you if I can. I only know about my Great Grandparents from what I was told by others because they had predeceased me. I eventually learned more when I became keen on the study of Genealogy in order to learn more of my own family history. My own mother was Ada BIBBY before she married my BUCKLEY father. BIBBY FAMILY Joyce Piper (Bibby) visited Bury in 1999 with her Husband Geoff and her Mother Christina Anne('Tina')Bibby from Wolverhampton. After meeting up with her all six were treated to Sunday Luncheon by Auntie Phyllis Bibby at the Victoria Hotel in Walshaw. Aunt ‘Tina’ had lived with us for part of WW2 whilst Uncle Horace Bibby was in the Army. Since retirement I had resumed my interest in Family Research and 'met' cousin Joyce Ann Piper (Bibby) on the Internet. (Where I first 'met' John) Later in the year of 1988 my wife (Hazel) and I visited Hannah Bibby at Gosforth, Cumbria. Hannah let us have a copy of the Bibby history. The BIBBY FAMILY at Gosforth, Cumbria (Cumberland) 1596 - 1949. Hannah BIBBY in GOSFORTH was visited by HAZEL and Norman BUCKLEY. Hannah, the last of the Bibby family, gave a copy of this list of the Bibby family which was produced by the minister at the Muncaster Church for Hannah Bibby some years previously. In October 25th 1998 when Hazel and Norman BUCKLEY visited Hannah BIBBY she lived at I Denton Terrace. Gosforth. The list was given to Norman by Hannah. After having a very pleasant chat and taking a few photographs all three had Lunch at a Restaurant opposite Hannah's home in Gosforth. Amongst the very many things discussed it was said that Hannah's mother. Sarah Bibby_had married a Bibby cousin and was still a BIBBY after she had married. The BIBBY Family Bible was in the possession of Alan BIBBY and had been passed down the male side of the family for generations. *****JOSEPH BIBBY(Grandfather of NORMAN BUCKLEY)Born fifth of October 1873. The family of a Thomas Bibby emigrated from Scotland in the 1850s and settled at Galesville, Trempelau County. The other was a William Bibby from Kirkby, Liverpool a few years earlier, and settled at Omro, Winnebago County. (This is near Waukau, not Wausau.) I think your Stanley is more likely to belong to this second family. I can put you in contact with researchers of this family if you like. John Bibby

    3. FYI, lately, there have been a few instances of subscribers and/or their ISP setting up spam filters that require anyone who posts to the list to "register" their e-mail address in order for their message to be forwarded to the subscriber with spam filtering. Just a heads up - if you set up spam filtering in this way, you will be unsubscribed from the list, and unfortunately, I will not be able to contact you to let you know why. If you have any questions about this, please contact me off list. Karen Hall Holmes, List Admin

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/5538/CkD.2ACEB/117 Message Board Post: I have asked if any one knows a Alice Bibby who used to live at 17 Chester Road Warrington. We are at a dead end trying to find my Uncles natural Mother. Her son John was born in March 1949 and was given up for adoption on 6th September the same year. We believe she may have had an older child. There is no Fathers name on the birth cert and it was done through a church in Wigan called St Mathews, Highfield Wigan. Alice Bibby was a Examiner of an Aluminium Works in Warrington at the time of birth. The Father of the church at the time was Reverend W Harrington. If any one can help or point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.
