Hi Tracey I believe we have been in contact before. I agree with your list, but I also have the original James to be the son of Thomas Bibby and Diana Nickson, married 14 Jan 1745 Bolton-le-Sands. I am trying to connect this family up with my Bibbys in Wyresdale. The names, dates and places are all so similar, nut I haven't found a link yet. Neither can a find a link with the shop in B-le-S with its lintel carved "James Bibby built these houses in 1745". John Bibby

He marr. in 1862 17 Oct. to Catherine Dryburgh, d/o David & Christina Dryburgh. George married under the name of George Adams, age 22 yrs. parents were George Adams & Elizabeth Wilson, both deceased, he was living in Greenhill in the Manse of Shotts according to the forms of the Church Of Scotland County of Lanarkshire. When George came to the U.S. on 30 June 1880 he came under the name of George Bibbie. His children were all born in Holytown (according to relatives who were in Scotland in 1979) his oldest son, George Jr. b.1863,came with his father on the same boat but returned and lived at Sarkall, Scotland where he had a small bakery, he died there on Timely St. in 1916. A photo of his grave marker shows the name as George Bibbie Adams. All of his children ,except one, lived in Scotland under the name of Adams. One daughter, Margaret, marr. a Neil McLaughlin and lived in Bosto! n Mass. The names of the towns I was given for the George Bibbie Adams children were Motherwell, Paisley, Renfren, Scotland and Coventry, England. Can anyone help with this mystery.
