There is no doubt that he is listed on several trees. Many of the ones I looked at though only had 1 or 2 of his children listed. He had 9 children in all. The 2 children that are commonly listed are Susan and Tabitha. I pesronally was missing Susan in my files, along with 1 other that I have not come across. The other 7 children in my files are: James b. 1830, Tabitha Louisa b. 1834 , Julia Helen b. 1836 , Charles Thomas b. 1838 ( my gr gr gr grandfather) , Elizabeth b. 1841, Anna b. 1844 and Ella. John Slater Besser was married 4 times all together, but only had children with Julia Hampton.(this is even stated in The Handbook of Texas) I have a lot of verified information I don't mind sharing, if anyone is interested..please email me!!
