I have a Henry Besser who married a Sarah Ann Cornell, 1843, in Tuscarawas Oh, then moved to Wells Co IN. From what I have heard from family "gossip", Henry was really straight laced and disowned one of his daughters for wearing a hoop skirt especially when she had problems getting out of a carriage and it popped up!
