Hello, I just subscribed to this list. I have hit a wall with one of my ancestors. He either did not know who his parents were, or just did not want anyone to know. His name as I know him is Henry Besser, he was a tailor by profession, married Sarah ann Cornell/Gorell in New Philidelphia, Tuscarawas Co OH. In the census, he said he was born in Pennsylvania, and if he was telling the truth about his age, he was born 23 Dec 1817. If anyone knows anything about ole Henry, please email me.
